We have been studying Thomas Jefferson extensively and we recently learned that he and John Adams did not see eye to eye. And when Adams became our second president, Thomas Jefferson became our Vice President. However, Jefferson was so displeased he pulled the old “I’m taking my ball and going home” maneuver. Basically he had a very difficult time working with Adams because of their political differences and spent much of his time back home. I have a strong regard for Thomas Jefferson but this was less than admirable. Despite the political shenanigans it was incredible to be standing here.
