Who Knew…

Who Knew...

First of all who knew I would actually make it to 30. But not only that I would be spending my 30th bday with road buddies. I can’t believe I was ever worried that I would find great people on the road. We had such an awesome night and I am just so happy to have met all these nice couples. The fam and I are no longer at our workamp job. And we are the third couple to have left so that’s gotta tell you something. It was an amazing experience though that I wouldn’t trade for the world. We met a lot of amazing people and learned a lot about workamping, people, the human spirit and getting back into the work force. I learned that I’m pretty awesome at serving tables and you can make a crap ton of money. Hubby learned he doesn’t really want to ask “do you want a bag with that?” HA but again it was awesome!! We are sticking around in the area mostly due to that guy in the last pic who showed up and started the best bday ever! Hubby went out last night and within a couple of hours had a job in Sturgis. He’s the official weapons checker at a bar and casino in town 🙂 So cute! Kiddos and I get to hang at a beautiful campground and then we’ll just go from there. If it’s one thing you become accustom to in this way of living it’s change. And you know what for a lot of us, change, good or bad, is one of the hardest things in life to conquer. Well kids consider it conquered haha. Speaking of the kids, they were sad at first although they were pretty happy to hear mommy would be back. And of course our underwear fashion show broke the mood, that’s another long story. The Cunninghams will always prevail as long as we embrace the world around us and I totally feel like we remain true to that. It was also a good learning experience for the kiddos. Sometimes things just don’t work out the way you want them to and that’s ok, because it is what it is, and life really is going to be alright. I can’t say that I’m not dissapointed that everything turned out the way it did, but it was necessary and life goes on. We haven’t ruled out workamping, just taking a little detour, because that’s what we do 🙂
